Prof. Clifton is a general physician specialising in endocrinology/dyslipidaemia. He has been Head of the Clinical Research Unit at CSIRO Health Sciences and Nutrition since 1994, and been theme leader for Obesity and Health since 2004. He is now responsible for all food and health related research in both CSIRO Human Nutrition and Food Science Australia. Prof. Clifton has developed strategies to modify cardiovascular risk, and in recent years broadened the focus to the control of obesity and obesity-related conditions, including management of hyperglycaemia and disordered lipids in diabetic and insulin-resistant subjects, and strategies to modify macronutrient intake in order to optimise weight loss in the obese. Prof. Clifton is responsible for the management of a specialised support team comprising research dietitians, registered nurses and clinical trial managers, which plans and coordinates volunteer studies, conducts pre-launch product testing and efficacy trials, offers consultancy services, provides research advice and literature reviews, and conducts education and information programs.

Dr Grant Baker graduated from medical school at the University of Adelaide in 1993. He undertook his intern year at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital where he also worked in the Emergency Department after undertaking some anaesthetics training in the United Kingdom. Dr Baker completed his Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine and General Practice later in his career. He is the current Club Doctor for the Glenelg Football Club and a Medical Educator for the GPex Registrar Training Program throughout South Australia.
Dr Ellen Horner is a female GP consulting at our Norwood Medical Centre in Adelaide with an interest in family health, holding a Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, as well as a Diploma in Child Health. Dr Jaein Lee is a Korean speaking female GP Registrar consulting at our Family Medical Practice in Norwood, Adelaide. Dr Jaein Lee was born in Korea and grew up in Toronto, Canada. Meet Angela, her General Physician Angela can best be described as an enthusiastic clinician who believes in achieving good patients care through maintaining strong communication with her clients and treating them with gentle kindness. Specialising in general medicine for adults, preconception counselling and obstetric medicine, Angela’s passions are centered around women who require specialised care during delicate times of their lives, such as pregnancy. Angela believes medical care is not just about pharmacological treatment, but providing continuity of care through a balanced, individualised approach with rationale investigation and intervention to maintain maternal wellbeing. She is also an advocate of pre-conception counselling for high-risk patients to minimise the risk of potential complications during the antenatal and postpartum periods. Since graduating from the University of Adelaide in 2004, Angela has worked at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in acute and general medicine. She is currently employed part-time by the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, North Adelaide as Obstetric Physician in obstetric medicine. Her private works include providing services to the Gawler region as a visiting consultant for the general and obstetric patients, and Port Augusta Hospital maternity services. Angela is also a member of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Society of Obstetric Medicine of Australia and New Zealand. When not at her, Angela can be found gardening, meditating over Psalms and hymns, or out exploring new places with family and friends.
Originally from the United States, Dr Dyne Correa as a child always wanted to visit Australia and when she finally made it, she fell in love with the country and decided to stay. She gained her Bachelor’s degree at Florida State University before studying Medicine at Flinders University here in South Australia. Her medical interests include Paediatrics, Adolescents, Women’s health, Mental health, Preventative Medicine and Weight Management. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her two boys. She is famous for her giggle, which you can’t help, but smile when you hear it. Her friendly demeanor and down to earth nature mean she is always a pleasure to be around.

Dr Hien Ong-Dinh is an experienced GP who obtained her medical degree from the University of Adelaide. She is a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. She has also obtained her Diploma of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRANZCOG). She has interests in all aspects of general practice of all ages with special interest areas in Women’s Health, Adolescent and Child Health, Family Planning and Sexual Health; including inserting and removing Implanon NXT and IUDs (Copper, Mirena and Kyleena). She is an accredited GP Obstetric Shared Antenatal Care Provider. She also performs Medical Acupuncture for some medical conditions. She speaks English and Vietnamese.
Dr Naing Aung is an experienced GP who obtained his medical degree from Flinders University in 2004 and GP Training in 2010. He has a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners since 2011. He has a special interest in procedures such as joint injections, skin lesion removal, Implanon/Mirena insertion and toenail surgery. He is also experienced in antenatal care and skilled in all other aspects of general practice. Dr Aung was born and raised in Burma, studied in the US and Australia. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family and outdoor activities. He is fluent in English and Burmese.
Dr Kerrie Francis is an experienced GP whom has graduated from Flinders University in 2003 and completed her GP training in 2009 in South Australia and the Northern Territory. She enjoys the variety General Practice offers and has interests in Child and Youth Health, Women's Health, Palliative Care and Aged Care. Dr Fiona Downey grew up in Adelaide and completed her medical degree at Flinders University in 1990. After doing a few years of training in the UK and Perth, she returned to SA to do her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of GP’s. Since then, she has done a certificate in Child Health in 2020 and acquired training with IUD’s and implantable contraceptives. She is interested in all areas of general practice [particularly women’s health] and basically just hopes to understand and help. In her spare time, she loves to be with friends.
