Neuro Junction is a team of health professionals with a special interest in Neurology and rehabilitation. We are the only physiotherapy and allied health practice on the Gold Coast dedicated solely to the treatment of clients with Neurological conditions. People with complex neurological conditions have unique challenges and need a team with knowledge in this area in order to reach their full potential. Neuro Junction offers you and your family coordinated care. We work together to help you reach your health goals. Neuro Junction services include Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Group Classes, Hydrotherapy, Podiatry and Prosthetics. Our ambition is to create a place where people with Neurological conditions can be educated about their health condition, feel empowered to improve their physical abilities, reach their full potential after injury or whilst living with a disease or disorder. At Neuro Junction we help people to move better, get stronger, and live better. Our goal is to improve your function, assist in your recovery and enhance your physical abilities. We personalise your program in your areas of need, for example: mobility, strength, co-ordination, balance and/or dizziness.
Lachlan graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Exercise Science (University Medal) in 2013 and Masters of Physiotherapy in 2015. Lachlan has extensive past experience as a senior physiotherapist on an acute neurosurgical ward. Lachlan has participated in professional development courses in neurological physiotherapy, vestibular rehabilitation and clinical educator workshops. Lachlan has experience with people recovering from neurosurgery, central disorders of dizziness, amputation, and spinal cord injury. He likes using a wide range of treatment approaches to meet a client’s individual needs and preferences. He enjoys taking the time to educate patients and learning their stories. Lachlan has completed professional development and gained extensive experience in respiratory physiotherapy for neuromuscular diseases. He provides individualised programs to support respiratory function and can assist in the prescription of respiratory devices for example, cough assist device. Lachlan provides physiotherapy services in the community both in clients homes and at local hydrotherapy pools.
Paige graduated from the University of Queensland in 1999 and has extensive experience working within the field of neurological and rehabilitative physiotherapy in Australia and the United Kingdom. Paige’s areas of interest and specialist experience include working with patients following acquired brain injuries, management of patients with multiple sclerosis and long-term management of patients with spasticity and muscle overactivity. Paige has a passion for assisting people to achieve all of their lifestyle, recreation and personal goals. Paige also has specialist experience working with clients who have cerebellar conditions, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, functional neurological disorders and many other neurological conditions. Paige is a titled neurological physiotherapy and is a member of the Australian College of Physiotherapy. She is the Vice-Chair of the Neurological Group of the Australian Physiotherapy association and is an Assistant Professor of Physiotherapy at Bond University. Paige has postgraduate qualifications in education and has completed post graduate qualifications in a number of areas including amputee management, behaviour management and mental health. Paige provides physiotherapy services at the Neuro Junction clinic rooms in Palm Beach.
Rachel graduated with Distinction to gain her Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) at the University of Sydney in 1995. With 20+ years of clinical experience, she has worked in rehabilitation across various healthcare settings, from ICU to the community, including Brain Injury and Aged Care specialist units. Rachel is a Member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association Neurology Group. She has undertaken further professional development in the areas of neurological physiotherapy, spinal cord injury managment, Parkinson’s disease, mulitple sclerosis and geriatric physiotherapy. Rachel has worked extensively as a clinical and staff educator. She also enjoys coaching Pilates and Body Balance. She is committed to the delivery of evidence based holistic Physiotherapy treatment to assist patients achieve their desired goals. Rachel provides services at the clinic or at your home.
