Elise is an experienced APA Titled Physiotherapist, completing her Bachelor in Applied Science and Master in Physiotherapy at LaTrobe University. Elise has a special interest in sporting-related injuries and has worked in private practise for a number of years, as well as with a variety of sporting teams. She was the Head Physiotherapist for the Collegians FC in the Womens AFL VAFA league for over 3 years and also worked with StKevins and MLC Rowing Clubs. She has worked with Aged Care facilities in developing a care and treatment program for residents in the past and is adept at helping her clients manage their pain. Deb has a keen interest for back and neck injuries as she has suffered from them herself. She understands her client from a pain perspective and works hard to ensure that her clients’ needs are met and they achieve the best outcome from treatment. She believes in educating her clients about their injuries and how to successfully manage them with a long-term view of improving function to the best they can be. Originally from India, Gaurav completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy in Mumbai. After gaining experience across various sporting assignments, he made a move to pursue his Masters of Physiotherapy(Sports) from the University of South Australia in 2016. His interest lies in lower extremity soft tissue injuries. He has hands-on experience in treating elite and amateur athletes that helped him gain a wealth of experience over the years. He has worked with major Indian sports leagues as their preferred Physiotherapist. Along with his work with team sports, he also provided his services to athletes who represented India at various international competitions. Gaurav provided his expertise in sports such as football, boxing, wrestling, kabaddi, tennis and cricket from weekend warriors to Olympic athletes. Along with his wife, Gaurav thrived in private practice to create meaningful relations in society. Gaurav is also involved in educational activities for physiotherapists and other health professionals. Gem is a national-level cyclist and physiotherapist who races with Duda Cycling. She holds a Bachelor of Physiotherapy with Honours and has researched energy deficiency in female elite cyclists. Kylie is a New Zealand trained APA titled sports physiotherapist with over 20 years of experience. Her commitment to ongoing learning and development is demonstrated by her Postgraduate Master’s in Sports Physiotherapy from La Trobe University. She also has a Bachelor of Physiotherapy and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Otago. Kylie has gained extensive experience in injury management, biomechanical retraining and exercise-based rehabilitation through her many years of work in New Zealand, Doha, South Australia and Melbourne. Kylie’s personal sporting history in running, cross-fit and strength training, combined with years of experience as a sports physiotherapist, underpins her understanding of not only her own health and wellbeing, but also that of ambitious athletes with various sporting aspirations. Her achievements in this field include completing marathons in both New Zealand and Australia, as well as several half marathons and 10km distances. Working with runners to achieve optimal strength and performance has led her to helping several runners overcome injury and go onto perform at an elite level. Rachel, a qualified and experienced physiotherapist, joined forces with husband Pep to establish Kinematics Health + Performance and Kinematics Strength + Recovery. Jesse is an experienced Physiotherapist who has a wide range of skills in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. Graduating with a Master of Physiotherapy from Flinders University (2014), Jesse has developed extensive experience from private practice and working in the NHS Public Health Service in South West London. As part of his private practice experience, Jesse has had the opportunity to provide both his Exercise Science and Physiotherapy skills while working for as the club physio for St Jons Old Collegians Football Club. Ahmed Nalaye has a Master of Physiotherapy and a Bachelor of Human Movement. He has additional courses in Running Rehab - Retraining, Exercise & Performance. He is affiliated with the Richmond City Cricket Club, managing cricket-related injuries through injury screening, rehab, and management, and the Early Intervention Physiotherapy Framework. Ahmed has worked as a sports trainer for football teams and road cycling events in Adelaide. He is passionate about exercise-based rehab, educating patients about their injury and recovery plan, and pain science and its impact on how we feel. Ahmed is a BUPA Preferred Physio and recognized by all health funds. Outside of work, he enjoys fitness and watching LFC.
Youliana is a supportive and enthusiastic physiotherapist with a keen interest in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy and is currently completing her Masters in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy. She aims to provide a thorough and comprehensive assessment that guides her treatment in collaboration with patients. She uses a range of different treatment modalities including patient education, soft tissue work, joint mobilisation, dry needling and exercise prescription. Youliana has a keen interest in treating hip, shoulder and ankle pain. She not only works closely with orthopaedic surgeons, sports physicians and medical professionals to optimise patient outcomes, but also with elite athletes. Youliana recently returned from the World Cheerleading Championships in the USA looking after athletes from Melbourne Cheer Academy. Alongside her colleagues, she has provided clinical supervision to Medical and Physiotherapy students from La Trobe University, ACU, Swinburne University, Melbourne University and Monash University to name a few. Away from the clinic, Youliana enjoys playing tennis, going for bike rides, taking her dogs for walks and trying all the different coffee shops Melbourne has to offer.
Our senior physiotherapist, Associate Prof. Amir Takla, has created the Takla – O'Donnell Protocol (TOD) and has presented internationally for the International Society of Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA). Amir is a sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapist with considerable experience in treating musculoskeletal conditions. After graduating from the University of Melbourne 1997, he successfully completed a Masters of Physiotherapy (Manipulative therapy) in 2000. Over the past 23 years, Amir’s extensive experience includes chief physiotherapist for the High Performance Centre Gymnastics program in Victoria (1999 – 2009), the Australian team in two world championships (Gymnastics Australia) and volunteer physiotherapy Sydney 2000 Olympics, Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth games. Amir has provided physiotherapy services to Tennis Australia for the Australian Open for the past 18 years, and has travelled for over 9 years with top 10 international tennis players on the ATP and WTA circuit. Amir has been involved heavily with Hip Arthroscopy Australia (HAA) since 2008 alongside Prof John O’Donnell who has been a major contributor and educator for the assessment and treatment of hip pathology. Amir has been the chair of the International Society for Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA) Physiotherapy subgroup since 2011, and has presented internationally including Munich, Cambridge, Madrid and Wawrick. Amir has several areas of special interest with Hip femoroacetabular impingement syndrome (FAIS) and rehabilitation. Amir enjoys his family time especially with his young son travelling to Europe and Russia.
Michael is a Senior Physiotherapist with greater than 12 years of clinical experience across both musculoskeletal conditions and orthopaedic rehabilitation. Recently, he was sought out by Tennis Australia to provide exclusive Physiotherapy to former World Number 1 and Australian Open winner Viktoria Azarenka during a recent Australian Open campaign. He is renowned for making difficult diagnoses, designing strengthening programs as well as using all tools such as mobilisations, deep tissue massage and Dry Needling to achieve fast results for his clients. Michael has also participated in research surrounding Hip Arthroscopy for a decade and travelled at the request of the International Society of Hip Arthroscopy to present lectures in overseas conferences, most recently in Chile. He was a clinical supervisor for Masters and Bachelor of Physiotherapy students from Bond University, Melbourne University, ACU University respectively and Swinburne University. Michael has designed countless strength programs and using specialised strength testing equipment to help patients build strength, and is currently collecting data in conjunction with one of Melbourne’s leading Universities surrounding a rehabilitation program for Procedures for complex Lumbar Spine problems. In addition to rehabilitating patients following Surgery Michael consults for Orthopaedic Surgeons designing Rehabilitation protocols for their procedures to be distributed to the Physiotherapy Community. Whilst not treating patients, Michael enjoys Running, Hiking and chasing his kids.
David is a passionate and experienced senior Physiotherapist in the management of all musculoskeletal conditions and orthopaedic rehabilitation. He is well known for his thorough assessment and supportive demeanour; utilising a multi-modal approach to treatment; including patient education, manual mobilisation, soft tissue work, dry needling and exercise prescription. He has a keen interest in postural neck and shoulder pain, as well as hip and knee pain; and works in conjunction with numerous experienced orthopaedic surgeons and medical professionals. David has had the opportunity to work with multiple local football and soccer teams as a lead physiotherapist, including Research Football Club and the Bulleen Lions Soccer Club with numerous National W-League players; as well as a preferred provider for corporate companies for a fast stream return to work management. As well as a clinical director and senior partner, he is also a clinical supervisor for medical students and Master/Bachelor of Physiotherapy students from Bond University, Melbourne University and ACU University respectively. When not working in or on the business, David enjoys watching and playing basketball, travelling the world with his wife and kids, and volunteering in his local parish and community.

Aimee completed her Doctor of Physiotherapy at University of Melbourne, and Bachelor of Biomedicine at Victoria University. Aimee has experience in injury rehabilitation and return to sport programs. She also has experience in rehabilitation of neurological conditions such as Stroke, Gillian-Barre Syndrome and Parkinson’s Disease. Aimee works as a Rehabilitation Physiotherapist for Western Bulldogs VFLW & Albanvale Netball Club. Outside of the clinic, you will find Aimee on her Paddle board or at a local Café. She also enjoys spending her spare time running, at the gym or watching sport.
Kim has an interest in treating upper limb conditions. Additionally, she enjoys guiding patients through their post-operative rehabilitation.

Price is an Advanced Sports Physiotherapist and researcher in hamstring injuries and pain in AFL football. He has been an AFL team Physiotherapist for 11 years.

Jessie was born and raised in Hobart, before moving to Canberra to study a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of Canberra, graduating in 2018. Since finishing university, Jessie has worked at private practices across both Hobart and Melbourne, where she was able to work with clients of various backgrounds and ages. Jessie is passionate about helping people become the best version of themselves, treating with a holistic approach. She particularly enjoys working with young female athletes and women of all ages, assisting them in achieving their physical and functional goals. Jessie is a qualified GLA:D and Onero instructor, and is experienced with creating appropriate and tailored exercise programs.
Fran has interest in management of chronic spinal conditions, shoulders, hip, knee and ankle and sporting injuries. She has experience working with athletes and in the biomechanics of movement, providing screening to help identify specific weaknesses and imbalances that can affect performance.
Aimee has a keen interest in treating Sporting injuries with particular interest in lower limb injuries, gaining experience through working with amateur to elite sports people. Aimee also has an interest in assisting people of all abilities to return to their highest functional capacity.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons) from Monash university in 2020, Emily currently holds a Physiotherapist role with St Kilda Football Club AFLW, having worked with the club since 2019. Emily’s love of sports rehabilitation developed from her years of representing Victoria and Australia in Trampolining. Having experienced the life of an elite athlete, Emily understands the impact an injury can have on your body. She believes in a holistic and multifaceted approach to rehabilitation and utilises a wide range of manual therapy and exercise prescription to facilitate return to peak performance. Emily has gained considerable experience working in both elite and local sport. This includes the Australian Under 20 ultimate frisbee team, U18 Victorian Hockey team, U20 Victorian men’s Netball team and a multitude of local AFL and soccer sides. She has previously completed the Melbourne Victory physiotherapy internship program and has worked with Brisbane Lions AFL & AFLW in a trainer capacity. Outside of the clinic Emily can be found chasing down the best dumplings Melbourne has to offer and enjoying a stroll around The Tan with a coffee in hand.

Since moving to Melbourne in 2019, he is currently lead investigator of the TRAIL running study at La Trobe Sport and Exercise Medicine research centre. Originally from India, Gaurav completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy in Mumbai. After gaining experience across various sporting assignments, he made a move to pursue his Masters of Physiotherapy(Sports) from the University of South Australia in 2016. His interest lies in lower extremity soft tissue injuries. He has hands-on experience in treating elite and amateur athletes that helped him gain a wealth of experience over the years. He has worked with major Indian sports leagues as their preferred Physiotherapist. Along with his work with team sports, he also provided his services to athletes who represented India at various international competitions. Gaurav provided his expertise in sports such as football, boxing, wrestling, kabaddi, tennis and cricket from weekend warriors to Olympic athletes. Along with his wife, Gaurav thrived in private practice to create meaningful relations in society. Gaurav is also involved in educational activities for physiotherapists and other health professionals. Gaurav strongly believes in the principle that MOVEMENT is MEDICINE and guides patients to actively achieve their physical best. Beyond his professional life, Gaurav enjoys having his friends over and cooking for them.

Himmat completed his undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy from India in 2010 and relocated to Australia to complete double postgraduate degrees in Advance Clinical Rehabilitation and Sports Physiotherapy from Adelaide, Australia in 2014 & 2016. He has been involved in clinical and academic work in India, Singapore, and Australia over his career and has worked in private practice in Adelaide and Melbourne before setting up SportsHealth Physio & Sports Injury Clinic in 2018. In 2016 the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) granted him the title of ‘APA Sports Physiotherapist’, a recognition the APA awards for excellence in the subspecialty of sports physiotherapy. In further recognition of his experience in the field of sports and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, he was admitted as a member of the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2018.
